House Subcommittee Hearing on Human Rights Abuses in North Korea

This Wednesday, the House Subcommittee on Africa, Global Health, Global Human Rights, and International Organizations held a hearing/briefing on Human Rights Abuses and Crimes Against Humanity in North Korea.

Briefing witnesses included:

  • Andrew Natsios, Co-Chair on The Committee for Human Rights in North Korea (statement here);
  • Shin Chang-hoon, director of the Center for Global Governance at the Asan Institute for Policy Studies (statement here);
  • Shin Dong-hyuk, North Korean prison camp survivor (statement here), and;
  • Lee Jong-hoon, Republic of Korea Ambassador-at-Large for Human Rights (statement here).
