President Joseph R. Biden Jr. has said that trade is a “critical pillar” of his foreign policy. His most immediate priorities should be to fix a broken World Trade Organization and unwind President Donald Trump’s most damaging policies, including the imposition of tariffs in the name of national security. The Biden administration also needs to revive cooperation with US allies to address China’s trade practices and the trade issues related to climate change and public health..
